Make Packing Easier.
The packing list app usually have the complex UI and endless scrolling list. In this project, I aimed to design a minimal and playful packing list app.
Role:
UX Designer
Genre:
Mobile
Duration:
2 months
Tools used:
Figma
Process
I wanted to design a solution that feels personal, fun, and flexible, rather than overwhelming or generic.
Tried existing apps like Packr and Packman to analyze strengths and pain points
Identified key user frustrations: limited customization, cluttered UI, lack of smart recommendations
Created low- and mid-fidelity wireframes in Figma to test flows
Designed a card-based system for category-based packing (Clothing, Essentials, Documents, etc.)
Built a prototype with interactive flows, progress tracking, and editable item suggestions
What I Learned
This project helped me:
Deepen my understanding of design systems and component logic in Figma
Improve layout consistency through Auto Layout and responsive design
Practice UX thinking by focusing on real pain points and solving them with clarity and joy
Understand the importance of accessibility and visual hierarchy in a mobile app
