Process
I started with the idea of minimalist movie posters, but pivoted toward a bold, action-movie + pop art style to match the high-energy theme. Since finding realistic imagery was a challenge, I experimented with AI-generated assets and stylized visuals instead.
Genre Research
Studied minimalist and action movie posters to identify visual cues like motion, tension, and energy.
Creative Direction & Keywords
Focused on themes of speed and adrenaline rush to guide all design choices.
Sketches & Moodboard
Explored layout compositions and visual storytelling across a trilogy format.
Color Palette
Chose a split-complementary scheme (Pink, Green, Orange) to give each poster its own tone while maintaining harmony as a set.
Typography
Used heavy-weight, modern sans-serif fonts to evoke speed, urgency, and a cinematic feel.
AI Asset Creation
Generated stylized base elements using Adobe Firefly, with prompts based on shot types, lighting direction, and motion blur.
What I Learned
This project taught me how film genre can influence design decisions. It also helped me explore how to utilize AI-generated image in design , such as prompt writing and style control.
